Dear Reader,
I am glad to share with you a treasury of beautiful prayers by many different people. Just reading the prayers can be a lesson on how to pray and relate to God. In reading the prayers of others, we get a glimpse into their relationship with God. Some of the prayers may greatly appeal to you that you may want to pray them frequently, if not daily. Other prayers may not be relevant to your present situation, but they may speak to you at another time. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the author of many of the prayers. If you find these prayers helpful please tell others about them.
In Christ,
Fr. Eamon Tobin
Father Tobin started every meeting with prayer and very often a reading and reflection on Scripture -usually the upcoming Sunday gospel, then he proceeded with the business at hand. His Commentaries on the Sunday Readings although intended for Small Christian Communities have wonderful Opening and Closing Prayers that are also appropriate for ministry meetings and other gatherings that have their own intent and purpose, but where we wish never to drift too far from the essence of our work and our prayer. These prayers have been consolidated into this single resource for you.

In October 2009, Father Tobin wrote a prayer booklet for children in the school who were focusing on prayer for the month. This is a useful resource for teachers and catechists especially and parents who would like to focus on the many saints of the month to deepen their child’s prayer life.

The Rosary was an integral part of Father Tobin’s family life and remained with him as a cherished personal devotion. He frequently prayed the decades of the Rosary for special intentions.
